TATAI aims to enhance the quality of the Dental Technology profession in the Philippines by offering to current and future practitioners hands on, technology driven and laboratory-based trainings.
The Academy ensures excellence in its course offerings by continuously updating its curriculum, developing a highly professional and dynamic teaching faculty and Academy staff and upgrading the quality of its facilities.

In response to the need to develop the quality of the dental technology profession in the country, Dr. Makoto and Marjorie Kobayashi established the Kobayashi Dental Technician Training Center in 1998. Now called The ALPS Technology Academy, Inc. (TATAI), it was conceived to be an institution that can provide quality dental technology education and training.
The founders are both practicing dentists since 1990. But Dr. Makoto has also devoted himself more than 40 years now as a dental technician. |

1998
The Training Center was conceptualized. The processing of registration and other legal requirements was initiated with the TESDA accreditation as the primary goal. This is to ensure that its training courses and programs adhere to the best standards.
1999
The Training Center received the Provisional Certificate of Technical Vocational Education & Training (TVET) program registration number.
2002
The Training Center successfully commenced operations but under a new name, The ALPS Technology Academy, Inc. (TATAI). Its opening was received enthusiastically by the dental health professionals.
The Academy boasts of conducive-to-learning classrooms and first-rate laboratory and equipment.
Using a holistic approach in raising the quality of its training courses and programs, the Academy strives to constantly build its teaching capabilities, improve and update its curriculum and upgrade its facilities.
